10 Types of Content and When to Use Them

Content marketing is a strategic approach to creating and sharing information with consumers. Content is the backbone of every marketing strategy. 2. Short form blogs

This type of blog is anywhere from 300 to 800 words. Short form blogs are beneficial for three reasons:

This form of digital content is a great addition to a marketing strategy. Videos inform, entertain, and educate consumers. This type of content is like talk radio, except they are online and focus on one area of interest. Podcasts are an excellent channel to use because they are convenient for consumers. 6. How-to guides

This form of content is ideal for showcasing your knowledge about your industry or a topic. They also increase brand awareness if the how-to guide solves a problem for your consumers.
 

7. Infographics

Infographics spice up regular content in a format that is easy to understand and share. Generally, infographics break down large pieces of information and make it easy-to-understand. They also are eye-catching and capture the attention of audiences longer than copy. Lastly, infographics get more shares on social media compared to other forms of digital content.
 

8. Emails

Email marketing is a must for any content strategy. They help with the following:
  • Increases ROI because there are minimal costs associated with this form of content.
  • Deepens relationships with the consumers by targeting their interests or needs.
  • Increases brand awareness with each communication that you send to the target audience.
 

9. Competitions

10. Social media posts

This is, by far, is one of the most popular kinds of content marketing. Social media posts are free to create and share.
